BIO

K.A. Powell

As the Acting Secretary and Vice President for Women Who Win Together Board, Powell is responsible for pastoral care counseling and co-creating workshops that address behavioral and mental health from a faith perspective.

Powell has 3 years' experience serving as an Associate Minister, and Assistant Pastor. She also has 5 years' experience serving as a Chaplain and Minister to many diverse individuals. In addition, she works to provide crisis stabilization to the citizen of Richmond, Virginia as a qualified mental health professional trainee (QMPH). It is her greatest joy to serve people from all walks of life. 

Powell earned a Master of Divinity degree from Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University. In addition, she is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University where she received a Master of Science in Patient Counseling and a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate. 

Powell was married to her caring husband, Joe Majesty for 20 years until his unexpected death. From their union, they have three beautiful children.
